Every pattern on SVGeneration has a built-in code editor that lets you fine-tune the raw SVG before downloading. Here's how to use it.

Opening the Editor

Click Generate & Download on any pattern card to open its editor page. You'll see a full-screen preview of the pattern and an edit panel on the right.

Background Colour

Use the colour picker or hex input to change the background colour beneath the SVG pattern. The live preview updates instantly.

Pattern Scale

The scale slider adjusts background-size as a percentage. At 100% the pattern renders at its native size; lower values create a denser tile; higher values create a larger, bolder repeat.

Blend Mode

Apply a CSS mix-blend-mode to the pattern overlay. This is useful for layering a pattern over a photo or coloured background for artistic effects.

Copying the CSS

Click the Copy button next to the CSS output box to copy the complete CSS declaration to your clipboard. Paste it directly into your stylesheet.

Downloading the SVG

Click Download SVG to save the raw SVG file to your computer. You can then reference it as an external URL in your CSS, or open it in a vector editor like Figma, Inkscape, or Illustrator.
